Found something you love but the timing isn't quite right? Lay-by is a great way to lock it in now and pay it off over time. You put down a deposit, we hold the stock for you, and once it's paid in full it's yours, delivered or ready to collect from one of our showrooms.
How lay-by works
When you set up a lay-by with us, we take your item off the available stock and put it aside for you. From there, it's up to you how you pay it off, as long as you stay within the term.

Pay as often as you like during the term (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever suits), as long as each payment is at least $10. You can pay it off early with no penalty.
How to set up a lay-by
Three ways to get started:
- Give us a call: phone 0800 800 880 and we'll set it up over the phone. This is the easiest option for most people.
- Visit a showroom: drop into our Auckland or Christchurch showroom and our team can set it up at the counter.
- Order online, then call us: place your order on our website using bank deposit as the payment method, then call us straight away on 0800 800 880 and we'll convert it to a lay-by.
Whichever way you choose, the 20% deposit needs to land within 7 days. If it doesn't, the lay-by is cancelled and the stock goes back on the shelf.
During your lay-by
While your lay-by is running:
- Your item is reserved. You don't need to worry about it selling out from under you.
- You can make payments by bank transfer or by calling us with your card details.
- We'll send you a reminder if the end of the term is getting close.
Cancelling a lay-by
Things change, and that's no problem. If you need to cancel, we'd just need to charge a $30 cancellation fee. Whatever you've paid in so far comes back to you, minus that fee.
Once it's paid off
When the final payment lands, your order moves into our normal dispatch process:
- Delivery: we'll arrange shipping to your address using our standard courier or freight network.
- Showroom pickup: let us know when you'd like to collect it from Auckland or Christchurch.
