Pricing, Discounts, and Price Matching

Our pricing

All prices on tradetested.co.nz are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST. We work hard to keep our pricing competitive, so the price you see on our website is generally the best available.

Price matching

We want you to feel confident you're getting a great deal. That's why Trade Tested offers a price match against other Kiwi retailers.

How it works

If you find the same product at a lower price from another NZ retailer, let us know and we'll take a look. The quickest way is to click the PRICE GUARANTEE button on the product page on tradetested.co.nz. That takes you straight to the price-match form pre-filled with the product details. You can also email or call us directly with the comparison if you'd rather.

What we need from you

  • The product name or SKU
  • The competitor's name and website link
  • The competitor's price

Price match conditions

  • The product must be identical: same model number and specifications
  • The competitor must be a legitimate Kiwi retailer and an authorised dealer for the product, not an overseas seller, parallel importer, or marketplace reseller
  • The competitor's price must be their regular everyday price: we don't match sale, clearance, promotional pricing, or one-off discount events
  • The competitor must offer a comparable warranty
  • The item must be brand new and in stock at the competitor, or available for pre-order
  • Freight is factored in: we compare the total delivered cost (the competitor's price plus their freight to your address) against our delivered price, so a small price difference can be offset by freight on either side
  • We don't price-match membership clubs, auction sites, daily-deal platforms, or other restricted-access pricing

If your request meets these conditions, we'll match the price and prepare a quote for you. If it doesn't quite qualify, we'll let you know why and do our best to help you find a great option.

Promo codes and discounts

From time to time, we offer promo codes and special discounts. Here's what you need to know:

  • Promo codes can be entered at checkout on our website
  • Discounts can't be stacked: only one promotion or offer can be applied per order
  • Promotions can't be applied retrospectively to orders that have already been placed, unless otherwise specified

When is the next sale?

We understand the temptation to wait for a deal! Unfortunately, we're not able to share future sale dates or confirm which products will be discounted in advance. Our promotions are announced when they go live.

I missed a sale

SuperGold Card discounts

SuperGold Card holders get an exclusive discount with us. A few things to note:

  • SuperGold Card discounts are not available for online orders
  • To receive the discount, you'll need to place your order by phone (0800 800 880) or purchase in-store at one of our showrooms

If you see a product you'd like to purchase with your SuperGold Card discount, give our sales team a call and they'll be happy to place the order for you.

Afterpay

We offer Afterpay as a payment option at checkout, so you can spread the cost over interest-free instalments.

Afterpay has a maximum order limit of $2,000. For orders over $2,000, you'll need to use another payment method such as credit card or bank transfer.

Quotes and payment options

For larger items, commercial orders, or price-matched products, we can prepare a quote for you. Once you're happy with the pricing, you can pay using one of the following methods:

  • Credit card: call us on 0800 800 880 and we'll process it over the phone
  • Bank transfer: payment details will be included on your invoice
  • Online payment link: we can send you a secure link to pay at your convenience
